I did not know about this. I sang with Frank at Westminster Terrace when I was 17 and later sang in his church choir ("Messiah") at Harvey Browne. He was assistant to and later replaced my late aunt, Helen Wich, as choral director at Harvey Brown, upon Helen's retirement. I auditioned for Voces Nove around 1999. Frank was pretty easy on me and accepted me, which surprised me as I am not a good sight reader. But he did like my voice. Unfortunately, I was not able to participate as we moved to Cincinnati. Will always regret not singing for Frank again. But there were those two times, and they were wonderful. God rest Frank and my condolences to his family. Along with David Brown, I hope to see--and sing for him--someday. Barbara Hatcher Gibler, Louisville native and lover of Louisville and its great music community.
